Admission

There are 2 Advanced Diploma Programs, 2 Diploma Programs and 1 Certificate Program.  Individual single courses are available for people who are interested in the subject. 

Advanced Diploma Program

 

1. TCM and Acupuncturist Advanced Diploma Program

(4 Years or 12 Semesters, each semester is 12 weeks)

2. Acupuncturist Advanced Diploma Program

(4 Years or 12 Semesters, each semester is 12 weeks)

Diploma Programs

1. Diploma Program in Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Tuina (3 Years or 9 Semesters)

2. Diploma Program in Traditional Chinese Medicine

(3 Years or 9 Semesters) 

Acupuncture Certificate Program

This program  provided for people who wants to learn 300 hours or more of Acupuncture techniques.  

Programs Requirements

  1. Eighteen years of age or over.

  2. Secondary school graduated or equivalent.

  3. English proficiency is required, however students can complete their English training during their program study and obtain English proficiency before graduation. 

  4. An interest in traditional Chinese medicine and an openness to become a professional and qualified traditional Chinese medicine practitioner

Single Courses

  1. Eighteen years of age or over.

Transfer Students

 

Students who have previously taken TCM courses in another school are welcome to continue their studies at WCMAAC. To avoid having to repeat courses that you have already taken, please submit copies of any relevant academic documents when you register. Please see Credit Transfer for details.

What If You Do Not Meet Admission Requirements

If you do not meet the academic and English proficiency requirements for the Advanced Diploma Program but meet those for a Diploma Program, you may begin the Diploma Program of your choice.  After successfully passing second year in the diploma program you may transfer to the TCM Advanced Diploma program in your fourth year.

If you do not meet the academic and English proficiency requirements for a Diploma Program but meet those for a Certificate Program, you may begin a Certificate program. After successfully completing the certificate program you may transfer to the corresponding diploma program.

 

If you do not meet the academic and English proficiency requirements for a Certificate Program but have an interest to become a competent TCM practitioner, you may start taking single courses. After accumulating enough credits, you may transfer to a certificate program. After fulfilling the English language and other program requirements, you may transfer to a diploma program and from there continue towards the TCM Advanced Diploma Program.
